Engage: Using the Power of Shared Values is an interactive training program that highlights industry trends and teaches strategies for using values-based messaging in daily conversations, and public speaking and media opportunities. Through lively discussion, role plays, mock media interviews and public speaking practice with follow-up placements, Engage immerses participants in a new way of communicating with important audiences.
As part of the training program, CFI hosts a Social Media Help Desk. The Help Desk offers food system members a centralized point of contact for social media support and assistance. The CFI Social Media Help Desk is available via telephone and e-mail. Among other things, help desk personnel are available to help users:
- Set up online accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and/or Flickr.
- Create and establish a blog
- Implement security settings for social media accounts
- Determine how to respond to an online article, blog post, Facebook post or tweet
