Center
For Food Integrity 2007 Summit Highlights
Consumer
trust in the food system – that was the focus of
the 2007 Summit. Participants throughout the food chain
had a chance to view the industry from alternate perspectives
– including the view of animal welfare advocates,
the view of consumers (through broad research on their
attitudes), government, academia, production agriculture,
the biotech industry, nutrition research, and the food
safety arena.
We’re
planning our next Summit for October 8th & 9th, 2008
in Indianapolis. Mark your calendar, and plan to join
us as we define the future of our food production system,
and its interface with consumers.
Audio
highlights from the 2007 Summit are now available. Hear
a discussion between Dennis Avery, a senior fellow and
the Director of Global Food Issues at the Hudson Institute,
and Wayne Pacelle, president and chief executive office
of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).
