About Us
Our Mission
To build consumer trust and confidence in today's food system by sharing accurate, balanced information, correcting misinformation, highlighting best practices that build trust and engaging stakeholders to address issues that are important to consumers.
Our Vision
CFI’s vision is to lead the public discussion to build trust in today’s food system and facilitate dialog with the food system to create better alignment with consumer expectations.

What We Believe
- Food system practices must be ethically grounded, scientifically verified, and economically viable. Without a balance of these three elements, systems cannot be truly sustainable.
- Consumers have a right to expect food to be grown and delivered safely and responsibly and deserve accountability when it is not.
- Consumer choice should be celebrated and protected. At the same time, the food system must be allowed to responsibly use technology and innovation to produce more food using fewer resources in order to feed a rapidly growing global population.
-
The Center does not lobby or advocate for individual food companies or brands. Our goal is to facilitate a more informed public conversation on food system issues.
